A garland of small flowers and ribbons runs along the collar and cuffs, embroidered tone on tone: you discover it up close, like the detail of an antique dress.

Elena Toscano designed it. The collar and cuffs travel to Ibu Dedek's atelier as flat pieces, are embroidered by hand and return to Italy, where the shirt is sewn.

Ika Jane carries in its name the Janes of English novels: women who read, wrote and made their own choices. Sibel comes from them. The ruffled high collar, the full sleeves closing in a flounce, the garland of flowers embroidered on the collar: an Edwardian blouse, worn today with a pair of jeans.

Her name comes from Sibyl: the woman who knows, who sees before others do. Clarissa Pinkola Estés calls her La Que Sabe.

It is the shirt that goes under all our vests, from Carmen to Amparo. But it is the one that makes the look.

100% cotton poplin. Fabric-covered buttons.

Wash at 30°C on a delicate cycle, inside out. Do not bleach, do not tumble dry. Iron at a medium temperature, inside out, without crushing the embroidery.

Sibel is designed in Paris by Micaela. The embroidery is designed in Milan by the artist Elena Toscano and done by hand in Ibu Dedek's atelier, among the rice fields, a few steps from the ocean.

The shirt is made in Ferrara, in Francesca's atelier, where Cristina follows the project from pattern to finished piece, together with Simona, head of Ika Jane production in Italy.
