Flying between Milan and Paris, Micaela photographed the sky at sunset from the airplane window: the dark green of the coming night, the blue, a strip of orange on the horizon. Elena Toscano turned it into a print.

On the shirt, the sky reads from top to bottom: dark green on the collar and shoulders, then blue, and orange at the hem.

The sky changes colour in a few minutes, and every time we wish we could hold on to it. In 2023, for the Dreaming Mermaids collection, we asked ourselves whether it could be worn: a sunset, a dawn, the moment when light passes from one colour to another. That is how this shirt was born.

The gradients became our iconic pieces, and the shirt came back: with Listen to the Birds, with short sleeves, to wear a whole forest. For I Quattro Elementi it becomes air, earth and fire.

Today it is called Luce, Italian for light: in every version, what you wear is the light of a landscape. And its journey is all Italian: Elena's design in Milan, the printing near Como, the sewing in Francesca's atelier in Ferrara.

Luce is designed in Paris by Micaela. The Aria print is designed in Milan by the artist Elena Toscano and printed in the Como area.

The shirt is made in Ferrara, in Francesca's atelier, where Cristina follows the project from pattern to finished piece, together with Simona, head of Ika Jane production in Italy. Made in Italy, from the first sketch to the last stitch.
